Dear Parents:
Due to our swimming at the YMCA on Thursdays, Newsletters and Weekly Report Cards will be sent home on Fridays until Spring Vacation in March.
Beginning the first week of January, we will be swimming at the YMCA. This will take place each week until Spring Vacation. The half of the cost will be paid by the Home and School. The Y has not told me our cost, but it should be close to last year’s price for parents of $15.00 per child.
Attached to this Newsletter are your student’s grades for the first semester of the school year. For the students in grades 5-8 your Iowa Test of Basic Skills Test results are also enclosed. We are pleased with the progress the students have made since last testing. If you have questions about the scores, please let me know so we can talk about them.
The Weekly Report Cards for this week are for the 3rd quarter. They do not have grades for all subjects. If there is no grade and no assignments missing, it means we haven’t had enough assignments to be able to figure a grade. If there is no grade and there are assignments missing then the assignments missing is causing there to be no grade. Please call me if you have a question about the report card.
For PE on Wednesdays and Friday, students need to have athletic shoes, which stay on their feet when running.
The school year is about half way over. Some of your students are in need of pencils. Please check with your child to see how their pencil supply is holding up.
