Newsletter 12-09-09 Aspen Christian School 9 December 2009 Dear Parents: Hot Lunch this Friday, Baked Potatoes. A very special thank you to all who helped with The Holiday Shopping Bazaar. And a more than a very special Thank You to Kathy Drake, Kathy Kridel, Jeanette Morales and Lisa Roberts for putting it together. If you want to order school pictures, please return your order form with the required funds. If you have questions please call Todd Roberts at: 303 774 7612. Please make sure your child knows his/her parts for the Christmas Program. We are please that most of the students know their part. Is yours one who does? We will begin swim lessons at the YMCA the first week in January. More information next week, but be ready to have your student start their swim lessons. Make sure their swimming suit still fits, remember trunk style for boys and modest one piece for girls. Remember, students will be picked up after school at the Y. We want to thank each of you for your support of the Hot Lunch Program. Remember if you have taken any school cookware home, to please return it on Monday. Also any linens you may have taken home to wash, please return. Remember, hands are to be washed before preparing food. Gloves are to be worn while serving. Food is to be kept at the correct temperature. Remember, we have to comply with Boulder County Health Department regulations or they can shut down our kitchen. The School Christmas program is scheduled for Saturday, December 19 at 10:50 a.m. This will take place at the Longmont Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1712 Mountain View Avenue, Longmont. Please reserve your date for this event. Each student has a part in the program, and the program just will not be as good without your child. We are in need of facial tissue for the students. Please send in a box or two, so those whose noses are running can take care of them. We are also running low on plastic spoons and forks. There are still a couple of jobs that need doing here at the school. If you are able to help with the following, please let me know: 1. Weeding 2. Check the swings 3. Leaves raked/blown Remember the school snow policy is if your school district has declared a snow day or late start, we will follow that directive. But the ultimate decision about your student coming to school is up to you. If it is not safe to come to school from where you live, then take it as a snow day.
