Dear Parents:
I know this is not the “normal” day for School News, but we cannot wait that long for you to have this information.
Thursday, we will be swimming at the YMCA in Longmont. Please make sure your child brings a modest 1 piece swim suit and a towel. The cost is the same as last year, $15.00. Please pick up your child at the YMCA at 2:30, UNLESS you have called to make other arraingements. The Y is at the corner of Lashley and 9th.Please sign the permission slip.
Monday, January 11, we will be taking a Field Trip to the Denver Museum. Please make sure your child has a sack lunch for that trip. Please sign the permission slip.
Yesterday, January 4, your child came home with an order form for fruit. Please help your child to make as many sales as possible. The funds you raise help your student. Remember to collect payment at the time of order. Checks are to be made payable to Aspen Christian School.
Hot Lunch this Friday.
There are no Weekly Report Cards this week, due to the beginning of the New Quarter.
Attached to this note is the report card for the 2nd quarter. If you do not receive it, please let me know. For those students in grades 3-8, ITBS test results will be enclosed.
We are in need of facial tissue for the students. Please send in a box or two, so those whose noses are running can take care of them. We are also running low on plastic spoons and forks.
There are still a couple of jobs that need doing here at the school. If you are able to help with the following, please let me know:
1. Check the swings
Remember the school snow policy is if your school district has declared a snow day or late start, we will follow that directive. But the ultimate decision about your student coming to school is up to you. If it is not safe to come to school from where you live, then take it as a snow day.

My Child, __________________________has my permission to take swimming lessons at the YMCA of Longmont, January 7 through March 11, 2010, with Aspen Christian School. I will pick my student up at the Y and pay $15.00 for my portion of the lessons.
